Our Technology
We believe the foundation of creating the best oil starts by combining the highest quality berries with our green and premier technology. To ensure we achieve this as a company, Saw Palmetto Florida is vertically integrated from farm to oil. Our state-of-the-art in-house CO2 extraction plant was completed and put into full production in 2017, while our new drying facility was just completed in 2021. Both facilities are located at our campus in Naples Florida.
When the berries arrive from the farms at our drying facility, we put them through our 3-step automated system transforming the wet berries into fine powder. We start by loading the wet berries into the cleaning system where any debris is removed. Our team then transfers the clean berries into the dryers, where they are dried continuously and rotated. The berries are dried at a specific temperature to remove moisture and still maintain the nutrients in the berries. Lastly, we move the dry and clean berries into our grinders, where they are grinded into a fine powder and are ready to be extracted into oil.
Thereafter, we begin the Supercritical CO2 extraction process at our in-house extraction plant. This technology is environmentally friendly, clean, and safe. CO2 is considered a “tunable solvent” allowing it to be highly versatile and, through the control and manipulation of temperature and pressure in the extraction process, preserves the highly valuable constituents without any residues or toxic by-products. It leaves us with a golden oil of concentrated potency and exceptional purity.
At Saw Palmetto Florida, we are engaged in every step of the process from start to finish, to assure our customers receive the very best Saw Palmetto oil, as nature intended.
